This is the website of the INCLUDE initiative. INCLUDE aims to support people with dementia and carers while normal life is disrupted by the coronavirus epidemic. INCLUDE stands for ‘Identifying and mitigating the individual and dyadic impact of COVID-19 and life under physical distancing on people with dementia and carers’.
INCLUDE is linked to the IDEAL research programme. IDEAL stands for ‘Improving the experience of dementia and enhancing active life’. You can read more about the IDEAL programme here: www.IDEALproject.org.uk
INCLUDE is co-ordinated by the IDEAL team at the University of Exeter Medical School, with contributions from researchers at Brunel University London, Newcastle University, Bradford University, Swansea University and Manchester University, in partnership with Alzheimer’s Society and Innovations in Dementia CIC.
INCLUDE is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) through grant ES/V004964/1.
The INCLUDE leaflets were part-funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and is supported by the NIHR Older People and Policy Research Unit and the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration South-West Peninsula.
